Looking for more details? FAQ

What is the theme "Save Us" about?

That is completely up to you and your imagination. We are looking for work that deals with struggle, crisis, the forgotten or overlooked burden each one of us is facing.

We do not want to limit you in your interpretation. Possible topics could deal with depression, violence, health issues, the state of the planet, …

In general, we do not exhibit artworks that are only aimed to sell. We want to convey a strong message with each exhibition and educate visitors on certain topics. We therefore also organize workshops and round tables connected to the theme.

Will I be invited to the vernissage?

Of course, we invite all participating artists to the opening night of the exhibition. This is a great chance to get to know each other, get in touch with other artists or collectors. To make it as easy for you as possible, we have discounts at the hotel right next to our gallery. Just drop us a line and we can give you a coupon code that gets you a reservation at a discounted rate.

Is there a submission fee?

No, we do not charge submission fees. We will however ask you to contribute to the costs of the exhibition – but only if you are selected as a participating artist. The amount of 89 Euros is used to cover our costs, e.g. hanging your works in the gallery, creating your own artist’s page on our website, putting up your work in our online shop, printing marketing materials, and so on.
If your work is sold, we will charge a 35% commission on each sale. Compared to other galleries, this is quite the bargain and we strive to keep the commission fees as low as possible.

Can I teach a workshop or be a speaker?

Yes, we are always excited to have people with interesting stories to tell. Ideally, you can talk about a topic that is somehow related to the overall theme of the exhibition. But we are also always on the lookout for artists to teach interesting techniques, authors to read from their new books or for inspiring speakers.

So yes, please drop us a line if you´re interested and we´ll see how we can get you into our schedule!

Your work is ready? SUBMIT IT NOW

You can submit up to three projects/series. But please notice, that each project/series needs a separate artist statement and only one project can be submitted at a time.

Entering the open call is free, as we want to see a wide selection and interpretations of the theme “Save Us”. Selected artists will be asked to contribute to the costs of the exhibition. Therefore, only if you are selected by our jury, we will charge a fee of 89 Euros. This covers marketing the exhibition, your own artist page on our website, displaying your work in the gallery, and our team actively selling your work to our network of collectors, interior designers or other interested parties.

The upload limit for each project’s files is 25MB. If your file is bigger, you can also send us a link to a file-sharing platform like WeTransfer or Dropbox.
