“Russland will unsere Kultur zerstören”

Since 2014, but especially since February 24th, 2022, Russia is trying to destroy ukrainian culture and art. Not just that russian missiles hit museums, theatres and memorials – ukrainian artists are in urgent need of our support to be able to find artistic answers to the Russian aggression.
While we were talking to one artist from Ukraine, all she asked for was some brushes and paint, because she couldn´t afford to buy them herself.

We have planned our next exhibition “Save Us!” months ago, long before we had any idea about what is happening right now. The exhibition was meant to show works that deal with climate change, personal crisis, and yes – war. But as soon as the invasion was foreseeable, we started to focus on helping the Ukrainian people. So clearly, the “Save Us!” exhibition will mostly feature artists from Ukraine or who are shining some light on the current situation.
We will feature well known and lesser known artists, and the profits from this exhibition will be donated to ukrainian families in urgent need of help. Therefore, we will have a print sale, and art auction and of course our regular sales beginning with the vernissage at the Kunstwerk.art gallery on April 22nd, 2022.
